Franco was “on the heavy side” growing up and only got in shape after he joined the Marine Corps. “I learned as much as I could so I could perform well on the battlefield, and people started asking for advice from all the research I did,” he says. “I thought ‘I can do this as a career!’”
Prior to becoming a coach, Franco was a tactical athlete. “Getting fit was more than me looking good, it was about my survival,” he says. “I did 3 combat tours in 4 years and survived many situations thanks to me running as fast as I could and lifting heavy things.” He can honestly say that he lives by Muhammad Ali’s famous mantra “Impossible is Nothing”.
